As you may have heard, the pioneering RV LIFE couple is hanging it all up and taking the exit from The Life.

With this in mind, I think it’s a perfect time to salute Jack Rebney, who really had RV’ing figured out from the very beginning. Without further ado I give you Winnebago Man letting his Freak (you) Flag Fly. Bless you Jack Rebney for all of us forced to work on projects we didn’t really give a fig about.

In teresting. I am currently looking into buying or building a teardrop camper. Something I can use to get away for a night or two with my son or girlfriend.

We have “neighbors” that do this and have for at least 5 years (they vacation at home which is my neighborhood). I’m not sure when they are planning on giving it up but I have a feeling this trend will be winding down.

Yeah. With all the time on the road this year— it’s obvious that people are RV’ing in record numbers. Last week that huge parking lot up at Little America was completely jammed with trailers, RVs and those “Sprinter Conversion Vans” that suddenly are all the rage. A good part of that’s likely “COVID”, and  it’s hard to imagine it staying a thing for much longer.

Government is the entity that built roads into these pristine areas, thus allowing people easy access to trash them. Went to Yellowstone a few years ago. Man, what a j oke that place is. Completely ruined.

Never saw the attraction, these things have to be terrible to drive, and trailers no fun until you detach it from the truck.

My paternal grandparents did this kind of thing for a couple decades, they seemed to love it, and didn’t stop until they were in their 80s.

I don’t think most people get that impression, hence the crowds. That’s why I keep my good camping spots to myself. Most people can’t even see the shitshow going on around them.
